About Me
My art is inspired by a variety of things that speak to my heart. A historical photo, a vintage advertisement, inspirational quotes, scriptures, poems or even a song lyric. You never know what might show up in my work!
Although I’ve had no formal art training, I’ve always had a passion for creating things and would take any and all art classes I could in school. All of my work is created through trial and error, testing what materials and colors flow together until they are pleasing to my eye. My hope is that everything I create will be pleasing to your eye as well.
After living in the suburbs of Virginia for most of our lives, we moved out into the country in 2022 and bought a 1909 farmhouse on a 5 acre property that we’ve been cleaning up and renovating. You can follow along at our progress @theberrygrove on Instagram. I currently work as a Records Manager during the day and an artist by night. I look forward to the day when I can leave the rat race behind and devote all my time to my creative endeavors.
I live with Roy, my husband of 28 years and my dog Bailey. My only son, Alex resides not too far away and he carries the same creative gene.
