Weekly Round up
It’s been a week around here as I’ve been pushing to get stuff done for the holidays. I don’t know about you but it has really snuck up on me this year. I have been out of sorts with a family life change, the remodeling of the office and trying to launch my online presence with my art.
This week I finished getting the rest of my content scheduled for YouTube for the end of the year, I also have been working on some mixed media collages with different elements to see which I like best.
Then as if that wasn’t enough I threw in the mix some cookie baking and at the last minute decided to make my own Christmas cards to mail out, OVER 50 OF THEM! All. by. hand.
I don’t know why I do that to myself. Well, I thought it was going to be easy enough as I watched a Instagram reel on how to make a card with a gelli plate. It looked so easy but when I went to execute it was not easy. So as per usual I had to put my own twist on it to make it work. As I got to the end of having to hand write a greeting in every single one I realized how insane this idea was. But here’s the thing about creating, at the same time I loved it and kicked myself for not making my own Christmas cards all these years. I’m trying hard these days to push past regret and not live in the past. Mental note for next year, start earlier!
Another thing I taught myself this week was how to upload shorts to YouTube. Here’s a link to one below. I’m really loving this style of collage!
